UGE International (OTCMKTS: UGEIF), a leader in commercial and community solar, has announced receipt of a notice to proceed for its 2.7MW community solar project in western Maryland. The company says that financing for the project has closed and all necessary permits and interconnection approvals are now in place.
The project will be built in western Maryland and reserve approximately 30% of the generated renewable energy for low-to-moderate income households. This will be UGE's first project to break ground in Maryland, with an additional 10.6MW of projects currently under development throughout the state.
The notice to proceed in Maryland comes on the heels of two additional approvals received for projects in New York state earlier this month as well as the acquisition of two additional solar projects and one battery storage system in Texas in February. The company continues to aggressively expand its portfolio of renewable energy projects in key U.S. markets.
UGE International develops and operates commercial and community solar projects across the United States and strategic markets abroad. The company’s distributed energy solutions deliver cheaper, cleaner energy to businesses and consumers with no upfront cost.
