Nio ($NIO), Li Auto ($LI), and XPeng ($XPEV) Release Third Quarter Electric Vehicle Delivery Numbers

Chinese-focused EV automakers Nio, Li Auto, and Xpeng have all released their third quarter vehicle delivery numbers.

Nio (NYSE: NIO), which holds the largest market cap of the three companies, says it delivered 10,878 vehicles in September, bringing its third quarter total to 31,607 vehicles. The quarter breakdown included deliveries consisting of 7,729 premium smart electric SUVs and 3,149 premium smart electric sedans.

The company said the quarterly numbers marked a 29% year-over-year increase while also achieving record-high quarterly deliveries since inception.

Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) has also announced its third quarter vehicle deliveries, which totaled 26,524 vehicles, and included 10,123 LI9 models, the company’s new flagship six-seat smart SUV. During September, the company said it delivered 11,531 vehicles, up 62.5% year-over-year.

At the end of September, the company says it has achieved cumulative vehicle deliveries totaling 211,015 vehicles.

Li Auto operates 271 retail stores across 119 cities in China, as well as 316 servicing centers and-authorized body and paint shops operating in 226 cities.

XPeng (NYSE: XPEV), the smallest market cap company of the three Chinese-focused EV makers, recorded record monthly deliveries in September totaling 8,468 vehicles. The company also began delivering its new G9 flagship SUV in September. 

For the quarter, XPeng deliveries totaled 29,570 vehicles, which represented a 15% increase year-over-year. Meanwhile, year-to-date deliveries  now stand at 98,553 vehicles, which have already surpassed total deliveries in all of 2021.
