Nextracker (NASDAQ: NXT), a global leader in intelligent solar tracker solutions, has been chosen by ACWA Power and Larsen & Toubro Limited to supply its all-terrain tracker NX Horizon-XTR for a 1.17 GW installation in Saudi Arabia.
The project will utilize Nextracker's smart solar tracker systems. The solar plant's terrain is hilly and has hard soil, traditionally requiring explosives and grading machines for flattening. However, Nextracker's all-terrain solar tracker, introduced in 2018 and proven on global projects, adapts to natural terrain, reducing the need for expensive land grading and minimizing environmental impact.
The new project aligns with Saudi Arabia's goals to achieve 50% renewable energy by 2030, and represents Nextracker's largest deployment of technology in the Middle East to date.
Dan Shugar, Nextracker founder and CEO stated: “We are honored to partner again with both ACWA Power and Larsen & Toubro Ltd for another significant project in the region.”
Nextracker is a leading provider of intelligent, integrated solar tracker and software solutions used in utility-scale and ground-mounted distributed generation solar projects around the world.
Shares of Nextracker trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol NXT.
