LithiumBank Resources (OTCMKTS: LBNKF) has announced results of direct lithium extraction (DLE) test work on brines originating from its Boardwalk lithium project located in western Canada.
The company says that initial testing has achieved 93% high-purity, high concentrate lithium chloride recovery in under 60 minutes, indicating that the selected DLE technology is a highly effective and scalable method of extracting lithium. The test work was also successful in processing high purity lithium concentrates grading up to 4,000 mg/L.
The company has partnered with Conductive Energy to test its proprietary DLE technology, which utilizes ion-exchange materials thought to be safer and produced in North America.
LithiumBank says that the test results will now be incorporated in an upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment, which will provide detail and cost estimates for the engineering and design of a commercial-scale lithium processing facility at its Boardwalk lithium brine project in Alberta.
LithiumBank Resources holds over four million acres of mineral titles throughout western Canada that are strategically positioned over known reservoirs that provide a unique combination of scale, grade and flow rates necessary for large-scale direct brine lithium production.
Shares of LithiumBank Resources trade in the United States under the ticker symbol LBNKF and in Canada under the symbol LBNK. For more information visit www.lithiumbank.ca.
