Lilium (NASDAQ: LILM), a leading manufacturer of eVTOL aircraft, and Saudia Group have signed a binding sales agreement for 50 Lilium Jets, with options for 50 more.
Saudia Group aims to enhance connectivity and reduce travel times, with the jets supporting travel across the Kingdom.
This agreement marks the largest firm order of eVTOL aircraft in the region by an airline. It demonstrates Saudia Group's strong commitment to electric aviation and the superior performance of the Lilium Jet.
The contract includes deposit schedules, delivery timelines, performance guarantees, and maintenance provisions. A comprehensive agreement for fleet maintenance is also planned.
Expecting the first aircrafts in 2026, the Lilium Jet will feature large, premium cabins for up to six passengers, offering a high-end travel experience.
Klaus Roewe, CEO of Lilium stated: “The Middle East is a priority for Lilium, and Saudi Arabia will be a very large and exciting market for electric, high-speed regional air mobility.”
