Eco Wave Power Global (NASDAQ: WAVE), a leading onshore wave energy technology company, has partnered with Lian Tat Company to bring wave energy technology to Taiwan.
Eco Wave Power utilizes a unique system to generate wave energy. By connecting custom-made floaters to marine structures, the floaters' movement with the waves compresses and decompresses hydraulic pistons. This action pushes biodegradable hydraulic fluid into on-shore accumulators, converting the wave's kinetic energy into stored hydraulic pressure. Eco Wave Power's innovative approach maximizes wave power extraction while prioritizing environmental sustainability.
The initial phase of the project focuses on developing a 20 MW wave energy power station, starting with a 100 kW pilot and gradually scaling up. Besides generating clean energy, the collaboration is expected to create job opportunities in manufacturing, transportation, construction, and engineering, providing an economic boost for Taiwan.
Inna Braverman, Eco Wave Power's Founder and CEO stated: "As an island with most of its population by the shore, Taiwan has a unique capacity to have wave energy at the forefront of the country's renewable energy portfolio.”
Eco Wave Power is a leading onshore wave energy technology company that developed a patented, smart and cost-efficient technology for turning ocean and sea waves into green electricity.
Shares of Eco Wave Power Global trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol WAVE.
