Canadian Solar (NASDAQ: CSIQ) has received favorable Environmental Impact Assessments for six photovoltaic solar projects in Spain.
The projects will generate clean energy for approximately 365,000 homes, reduce 350,000 tons of CO2 emissions, and create nearly 1,700 local jobs.
All projects are expected to start construction in 2023 and will be fully operational by 2025. The Company's total portfolio of solar photovoltaic parks under development in Spain amounts to more than 2 GW located across six communities.
