Beam Global (NASDAQ: BEEM), a leading provider of innovative electric vehicle charging solutions, has announced that the city of Vacaville, located in California, has deployed several EV ARC solar-powered EV charging systems for public use.
The EV ARC systems fit standard parking spaces without reducing availability and are off-grid, eliminating the need for electrical work, construction, and utility bills. Powered by 100% renewable energy, they generate and store clean electricity for EVs day or night, and during inclement weather.
In 2023, California's EV market share reached 25%, up from the previous year, leading the nation with 34% of new light-duty zero-emission vehicle sales. To support this growth, California aims to install 1.2 million public and shared private chargers by 2030.
Desmond Wheatley, CEO of Beam Global stated: ““While a majority of our municipal deployments have been for fleet vehicles, this order is significant in that the EV ARCs will be used for public charging which is a trend we see increasing and, we believe, opens a new set of opportunities for Beam Global.”
Beam Global is a clean technology leader providing innovative, sustainable products and technologies for electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy storage.
