Archer Aviation (NYSE: ACHR), a leading producer of electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, has expanded its partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense through new contracts worth up to $142 million with the U.S. Air Force. 

The Department of Defense recognizes the transformative potential of Archer's eVTOL aircraft for military purposes. This phase includes delivering up to six Midnight aircraft, sharing flight test data, pilot training, and developing maintenance operations. The aircraft offer advantages in rapid response, agility, and cost-effectiveness for various missions. Archer also formed a Government Services Advisory Board to engage with U.S. government agencies for commercializing its eVTOL aircraft.

Archer is designing and developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for use in urban air mobility networks.
