Aqua Metals ($AQMS) Recovers Critical Battery Metals with Breakthrough Recycling Method AquaRefining

Aqua Metals (NASDAQ: AQMS) has announced a breakthrough in recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries using its AquaRefining technology. 

The company successfully recovered critical battery metals like copper at production scale by using electricity, the pilot Li AquaRefining system which is a patent-pending process has proven to remove impurities and trace metals from recycled lithium batteries and selectively recover pure metal. 

This new technology has the potential to make the recycling industry cleaner, more efficient and adaptable to new lithium battery chemistries. The company has a strong commitment towards clean energy and sustainable operations.
