Ambarella (NASDAQ: AMBA), a leading producer of AI semiconductors, and SANY Group have joined forces in a strategic partnership to develop cutting-edge mobility solutions worldwide. SANY will utilize Ambarella's advanced automotive AI systems-on-chip (SoCs) to pioneer automated driving technology in their next-gen commercial and special-purpose vehicles. Both companies will collaborate on high-performance automated driving solutions, aiming to launch their first joint vehicle model by 2025.

Xiang Wenbo, SANY's rotating chairman, welcomed Fermi Wang, Ambarella's CEO, highlighting SANY's commitment to globalization, digitalization, and decarbonization. Wang emphasized Ambarella's alignment with SANY's goals, citing their AI systems-on-chips' industry-leading capabilities in low power consumption and high performance. 

Through this partnership, SANY and Ambarella aim to accelerate the adoption of intelligent solutions in commercial and special-purpose vehicles, addressing engineering labor shortages and advancing unmanned operations in the industry.
