Keeneland Racetrack - known as a Symbol of the Fine Traditions of the Thoroughbred; completes 'Phase Three' totaling 22,140 SF of KBI's proprietary Flexi®-Pave in pathways and cleaning pads for horses.
Atlantic Power & Infrastructure Corp's. (OTC PINK:AWSL) certified installer, Kentucky based ‘Recycled Surfacing, LLC.', has now completed the Third Phase of the Flexi®-Pave contract at Keenland Racetrack. The First Phase of Flexi®-Pave was installed in 2019.
Located in the Horse Capital of the World, Keeneland is an internationally renowned racecourse facility and known as the Thoroughbred industry's leading auction house. Founded in 1936, Keeneland's mission is to continually invest in the industry and to preserve the tradition of Thoroughbred racing.
By installing Flexi®-Pave, Keeneland Racetrack continues to maintain its reputation as a symbol of the Finest Traditions of the Thoroughbred.
About the Installation
The installation of Flexi®-Pave was performed in three Phases. The First Phase was commenced in 2019 when Flexi®-Pave was installed for the benefit of the owners of Thoroughbreds, providing them with the comfort of knowing their horses will have a better footing and maintain the necessary ground stability when moving the horses around the stable facilities.
Improving safety and health conditions is a constant concern for stable owners! Consequently, stable owners evaluate solutions that are critical and could affect the well-being of the horses. Flexi®-Pave unique features with its superior surface, proved to provide multiple benefits to the horses and owners, including water drainage with storm water conveyance and management. Flexi®-Pave provides ease of cleaning and washing down to maintain the highest level of sanitization, at the same time reducing the potential hazards of contaminants draining into the aquifer.
