(NASDAQ: EVGO), one of the nation’s largest public fast charging networks for electric vehicles (EVs), today announced the awardees of its second annual National EV Charging Recognition Program, presented by Connect the Watts™. Launched in 2022, the program celebrates leaders in deployment excellence, recognizing EV Charging Heroes from all areas of the EV charging ecosystem based on an evaluation of their commitment to fast charger deployment via innovative actions, partnerships, and proven results.
The 2023 awardees of the National EV Charging Recognition Program consist of leading site hosts, utility companies, government departments, and contractors. Criteria for each sector was published in December, and all awardees submitted for the program by providing materials such as publicly available educational resources, safety data, public commitments to fast charger installation, and concrete results. All EV Charging Heroes will receive a digital certificate to memorialize their critical efforts and accomplishments toward widespread EV adoption. They will also be highlighted on the Connect the Watts Recognition Program page and featured in an upcoming blog post from EVgo.
